Marmots
are rodents that whistle. Marmots play music (mostly written by
Martin Arnold) that aspires to someone, or, better yet, a whole bunch
of people whistling to themselves—long meanders with a really
extrapolated, languid tune morphing around in their memories.
14th century polyphony, psychedelic lounge music, and highland
heterophony are other points of reference for this current mixed
consort music.
